This week we are celebrating our teachers for all their hard work, dedication, and compassion for kids. The elementary building thinks our teachers are true super heroes and we are so thankful to have such amazing educators!! I encourage all parents, students, and community members to reach out to these awesome humans this week and let them know how valued they truly are!

The Junior Class recently wrote essays for the Black River Electric Cooperative essay contest. Congratulations to Olivia Pitts on earning 2nd place. She will attend a leadership conference in Jefferson City. Congratulations to Mia Mason on earning 1st place. She earned an all-expenses paid trip to Washington D.C. this summer. Way to go, ladies!
Sixth grade students had a visit with representatives from Marler Music. They were able to explore various instruments and discuss interest in joining the junior high band.

6th grade visited the St. Louis Kaplan Feldman Holocaust Museum today and became witnesses of these past injustices to be a part of a brighter future for all humankind.

Congratulations to our elementary students for their great showing in the BRL Art Show! A special shoutout to Lily Webb for placing 3rd in ceramics, Addison Logan and Brylee Bishop for both placing second in color drawing for their age divisions, and Aubrey Hill for placing 2nd in crafts!!
3rd grade had their last agriculture lesson today. We learned about poultry, and more specifically chickens and turkeys. Mrs. Harbison was nice enough to even bring in some baby chicks for the kids to play with!
Mrs Lanham's Enrichment class has been learning new yoga techniques and stretches.
First grade had fun reading the book: If You Give Dog a Donut. Today we ended our activities we celebrated with donuts and apple juice.
