The FAFSA that students will fill out this year is now set to open in December of 2023, instead of Oct. 1st. The state has not published a deadline yet. The high school counselor has sent more information regarding this change to parent and senior emails.

Today our field trip forms will be sent home to those who qualified. If you return the signed permission slip by Friday, Mrs. Mathes will have a SURPRISE for you!!
The Freshmen Amigos are ready to serve you churros today at Fall Festival! Visit the the Mexican booth for a Mexican apple pie and Mexican fruit punch!
Thank you for making our Krispy Kreme fundraiser such a huge success!! We surpassed our school goal of 650 items. Our top individual seller was Luci Scaggs with 40 items sold. Great job, Luci!! To anyone who ordered coffee: they no longer make a "bold" option so those were replaced with original and if you ordered coffee, but didn't get it you'll have it tomorrow. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Today we celebrated our grandparents! Goodies with Grandparents was a huge success on a beautiful day. Thank you to everyone who came out!
7th, 8th, and 9th graders who scored Proficient, Advanced or moved up a level on last year's MAP tests were rewarded with a trip to Skyzone. Everyone had a great time jumping, eating pizza at the park and taking a day to celebrate.
Today our elementary kiddos who scored proficient or advanced on last year's MAP tests were rewarded with a trip to the Bonne Terre Family Fun Center. They had the run of the place for 3 hours, had lunch, and celebrated their success!! Great job, kids!! Thank you to Mrs.Laughman, Mrs. Forshee, Mrs. Maize, and Mr. Pollock for working hard and playing hard.
Reminders for Friday, September 8th!
Goodies with Grandparents at 11:15am. Students are allowed to leave with their grandparents, once their activity is over. It will not count towards their attendance.

This is a reminder that Senior Parent Night is tomorrow, September 7th, from 5pm to 6pm in the library. The High School Counselor will be going over what students need to do to prepare for after high school.

Goodies with Grandparents will be held at Lesterville Elementary on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 11:15am. All Grandparents are invited to attend.
Where: Elementary Playground(weather permitting)
Parking: If it is held on the playground, you may drive to the back of school and park outside the fence. You may also park in the front parking lot if you wish, and walk to the playground.
Refreshments will be provided!

Our school offers a FREE program called Parents as Teachers for pregnant women and children ages birth to 5. The program focuses on play and learning while providing important development information. This service is provided by Lorna Reese who is in her 18th year as our PAT Coordinator. If you would like more information please contact the Elementary Office or you can find Lorna on Facebook and send her a message.
Senior Parent Night will be Thursday, September 7th, 2023 from 5pm to 6pm in the Lesterville Library. Please disregard the emails and letters that were previously sent. The date on those letters and emails were incorrect.
Kingston Baseball Tourney Update: due to weather games have been moved to Caledonia. Bearcats play @ 2:30 (bus departs 12:30)
